💔 Justice for Ochanya Ogbanje

 

In 2018, Nigeria lost a bright 13-year-old girl — Ochanya Ogbanje from Benue State — after years of abuse by those who were supposed to protect her. 💔

From the age of 8, Ochanya suffered repeated sexual abuse that led to severe illness and, sadly, her death. Her story sparked the powerful movement #JusticeForOchanya, demanding an end to child abuse and stronger protection for children everywhere.

After almost 6 years of waiting, the Benue State High Court finally sentenced her abuser, Andrew Ogbuja, to life imprisonment in 2024. ⚖️

Ochanya’s voice may have been silenced, but her story continues to speak for every child who deserves safety, dignity, and justice. 🕊️
